During her academic career Dr. Boyd taught graduate and undergraduate courses in research methods, psychometrics, organizational psychology, management, and gender. Her research focused on gender issues in organizations and the challenges people face when attempting to balance multiple life roles and goals and the effectiveness of organizational diversity policies. Dr. Boyd has published several peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters. Her academic work has been covered by a number of news outlets including Forbes, Fast Company, Parents Magazine and US News. She has discussed work-life issues on radio and television programs and has presented her work in dozens of presentations at professional conferences, both national and international. She has also engaged in consulting work in the areas of employee selection and placement, training, organizational development and change, women’s leadership, and work-life issues. Her current academic pursuits include part-time consulting work for organizations and organizational scholars.
